- Fresh strawberries with stems
- 8 oz (227g) semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
- 2 tbsp vegetable shortening or coconut oil (for smooth dipping)
- Wash and dry the strawberries thoroughly.
- Melt the chocolate and shortening or coconut oil in a microwave or over a double boiler.
- Dip each strawberry into the melted chocolate, allowing any excess to drip off.
- Place the dipped strawberries on a parchment paper-lined tray.
- Let them cool and harden in the refrigerator
